Selectmen’s Meeting
July 26, 2006
Members Present: Frank Dumaine and Beno Lamontagne.
Others: Donna Caron, Heidi Lawton, and Claire Knapper.
Selectmen signed all vouchers and manifests.
The Selectmen reviewed a letter from Mike and Melanie Gray saying their land should not be assessed at what it is.
The Selectmen reviewed a letter to Sheila Beauchemin from Bernie Waugh regarding Mike Robinson’s property.
The Board approved Bill Weir Jr’s site plan abutter permission notice.
At the Town Meeting it was voted to increase the elderly exemption to $10,000.00 and DRA didn’t like our wording so they weren’t going to allow the exemptions, but the Selectmen wanted the elderly people to get it, so they allowed an abatement. It will be voted on again at Town Meeting because of the wording.
DMA sent a letter to abate the taxes for the NH CO-OP.
Ross Riley was hired to work at the Town Garage in the Public Works Department.
Mr. Lamontagne made a motion to accept the July 12 minutes, Mr. Dumaine seconded the motion, motion passed.
