Selectmen’s Meeting
June 20, 2005

Members Present:Chairman, Greg Placy, Francois Dumaine and Laurence Rappaport

Others Present: Public Works Director Kevin F. McKinnon, Town Manager Donna Caron, Alan Rancourt, David Begin, Danny Lyons, News & Sentinel Representative Claire Knapper and Chronicle Representative Donna Jordan.

Greg Placy called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM.

A motion to enter executive session to discuss personnel issues, conduct interviews and to discuss landfill contract negotiations was made by Larry, seconded by Greg and passed with full board approval.  During this session Alan Rancourt, Danny Lyons and David Begin were interviewed for the working highway supervisor’s position.

At 5:40 PM, a motion to exit executive session was made by Larry, seconded by Frank and passed with full board approval.  Larry made a motion to hire David Begin as the new supervisor and to offer Danny Lyons a full time position as operator in the highway department, Frank seconded, motion passed with full board approval.

The Board of Selectmen agreed in executive session to accept monies and services provided by New England Waste and to proceed with the actual contract wording.  The town’s attorney has an issue with liability, therefore both parties and their attorneys will meet to finalize this document.

Frank made a motion to accept June 6th minutes, Larry seconded the motion, and it passed with full board approval.

The board looked at a list of unregistered dogs and authorized town clerk Sheila Beauchemin to issue dog warrants after July 11th, 2005.  Larry made the motion for this authorization, Frank seconded it and motion passed with full board approval.

A motion to adjourn was made by Larry, seconded by Frank and passed with full board approval.
