Selectmen’s Meeting
March 8, 2004
Members Present: Sally Wentzell, Larry Rappaport, and Greg Placy.
Others Present: Donna Caron, Claire Knapper, Jennifer Burchard, and Bruce Fowler.
Selectmen signed all payroll vouchers and voucher manifests.
The board mentioned that the Intent to Cut Forms were all new now, so the old ones had to be thrown away.
Larry made a motion, Greg seconded for Alicia to find the best interest on a loan to possibly purchase A.B.’s lot.
Larry mentioned someone going to the ZBA meeting on Linda Hayne’s variance request.
Dr. Fothergill and Dallas Chase came in to talk to the board about getting the pool land tax-free.
Sally told the board that The First Colebrook Bank was going to take the Town of Colebrook to the Board of Tax and Land Appeals and that Avitar would be representing us at the hearing.
Bruce Fowler presented a plaque to Donna Caron, Kevin McKinnon, Larry Rappaport, and Greg Placy for all of their help with the Main Street Association.
Greg made a motion to go into executive session on a personnel issue, Larry seconded it.
The board discussed how to comprise an interview board for the police position, and Greg suggested calling Chief Cameron Brown from the Littleton Police Dept. to see if he would sit on the board.
Larry made a motion to have a board for hiring for the police position, Greg seconded it, Sally agreed. Motion passed with full board approval.
Larry asked if the office could send out a Master Plan Survey to all of the town’s people, he would like us to photocopy onto both sides of the paper to save on postage.
Donna explained to the board that she called Jon Cowan to survey Aldrich Road.
The board discussed purchasing a John Deere grader for the town. They also talked about paving Titus Hill Road after we got done with the landfill closure plan.
Larry made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Greg seconded it, motion passed meeting adjourned.
