Colebrook Energy Committee Notes Accepted 4/2/10

Meeting started at 8:25 PM
Present: Kevin McKinnon, Dick Harris, Brian LaPerle, Larry Rapport, Julie Moran
Review of Minutes from Nov and Dec.- Motion made, seconded and approved to accept as corrected. There was no meeting in January.
Announcement of Alternate Appointee: April Hyde was appointed by Select board on Monday night.
Decision of Terms of Appointments - to be sent to Select board ASAP:
2010 - Julie Moran
2011 - Larry Rappaport and Kevin McKinnon
2012 - Dick Harris and Brian LaPerle
2013 - April Hyde
Preview and edit of CEC Annual Town Report to be submitted: still needs corrections - J Moran will send corrections for approval via email. Must be submitted by Monday morning, or it will not be included in the 2009 Town Report.
Activities since last meeting: CEC co-sponsored a Garden Video series with the Small and Beginner Farmers of NH, Coos County Chapter (SBFNH). J Moran explained a little about that group, and that they needed insurance certification to hold meeting at the Elementary school. Email notice to committee members elicited positive responses from all members.
Discussion on how the committee receives direction from, and communicates with Select board regarding the committee. The committee decided that it needs to ask the Select board about these issues, procedures and parameters around posting committee minutes, and needs to ask more directive questions on specific projects that the Select board wants the group to work on.
Upcoming Event: the CDHFFC will give a presentation to the CDDA on progress with district heating on Wednesday, 2/17/10. Presentation will be given by Dick Harris, Mike McCormick & Kevin McKinnon.
Next meeting will not be second Tuesday next month, as that is Town Meeting. The committee did not schedule the next meeting as it will be looking for direction from the Select board for further action.
