DHarris - Expo planning, PR, assemblies, GreenPath work
H Smith - building environmentally sound homes - B LaPerle’s house right now
N Broome - is certified on new systems, also working on B LaPerle’s house
B Soucy - reading up on Energy and recycling leads
J Moran - publicity for Expo, 5 assemblies with D Harris at area schools, getting interest for and setting up Earth Day Community Science Fair and volunteer programs - “StayWarmNH”, Recycling and Energy Ambassadors, contact with other LEC’s (local energy committees), Energy Star Challenge, Carbon Challenge, and other agencies. Sent info to Colebrook Schools about Solar projects - no response.  J Dundorf from Carbon Challenge and LEC formations and collaboration is coming Friday night  Oct 24 - do we want to meet with her?  (Yes - try to schedule it)

Suggestion: L Rappaport - elderly would be great source of volunteers for CEEC programs.

Discussion on the CEEC’s focus - conclusion - “Get the Word out” about ways to save energy and heating costs, and to get recycling going.  The key is to get the schools going on this. (K McKinnon).

Discussion on Information to get to schools:  NASA has a great outreach program (C Gueymard), NRRA has one on Recycling (J Moran)  We have been invited back to schools - Pittsburg, Stewartstown, Canaan. Have yet to get into the schedule in Colebrook.

Announcement: L Rapport - District Heating Meeting coming up - Nov 12th - Cabot Motor Lodge, Lancaster 5:45 PM with Dr Pierce  - try to be there to meet with him about Colebrook District heating

PAYT Discussion:  issue for businesses that use dumpsters, and for restaurants - can we help at all?

Recycling Facilities in Milton and Pembroke NH - the CEEC needs to get a field trip scheduled to tour these, and see if we can do more up here to recycle plastics 1-5, glass, and other products that will break even or make a profit…we have to find a way to cut hauling and dumping fees.

Question:  Should the CEEC lead the start up of a co-op recycling company, in partnership with local private companies (hospital, Balsams, others)?

To Do:
Expo:  Oct 25th - all - get your presentations ready, do publicity, follow up on your leads
District Heating Meeting :  Nov 12 - call Larry if you’re going, and can meet with Dr Pierce
LEC/Carbon Challenge Mtg: Oct 24 - J Moran try to schedule library and meeting

Respectfully Submitted,
Julie Moran
