First and Second Quarterly Tax Dollar Savings

Town Office Savings

In June when the Town Manager attended the managers’ conference in Concord, she only recorded 6 hours of the actual class as time worked and the balance was taken as vacation plus she did not charge mileage.~

Our office tears up scrap paper for note pads, prints certain documents on the backsides of scrap paper, uses and the backsides of adding machine tape.~

We have changed telephone companies a couple of times to help save money.~

The Town Clerks office had curtains donated, to help keep the office warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, the office girls try not to run the heat in the winter months.

The girls also purchase some of their supplies for the offices.

Police Department Savings

Chief Cass informed the Town Manager that he put personal tires on the cruiser saving the town $400.00 and never charges for mileage.

Officer Lord did not charge mileage to attend the full-time academy.

Officer Hurlbert did not charge mileage to attend the part-time academy.

Public Works Department Savings

We salvaged a $60.00 vise out of the Transfer station, a $100.00 battery charger, a $50.00 spot light, and $300.00 worth of steel.

April Hyde wrote up the Annual Report for the treatment system at a cost savings of $20,000.00 to the town.
